60th birthday celebration with a golden touch

Celebrating 60 years is a truly special occasion, and on Gotland, it became a weekend filled with both warmth and reflection. Against the backdrop of the island's gentle limestone landscape, family and friends gathered to honor a life rich in experiences, joy, and meaningful encounters.

An 18-person choir was part of the first evening's entertainment.

Upon arrival at Visby Airport, guests were welcomed with a trumpet fanfare and received information about the weekend on Gotland, while their luggage was transported directly to their rooms.

After a “get-together” at the reserved hotel with activities, drinks, and snacks, it was time for the evening's dinner. The evening began in beautiful St. Nicolai, where appetizers were served while guests were entertained by choir singing and a fire show. Afterwards, it was time to be seated in Frimis' premises, where two interconnected stages allowed for entertainment during dinner, even though guests were divided into two adjacent rooms. The festivities then continued into the early hours in the 1000-year-old cellar vaults.

Day 2 then began with two different excursions, one to Fårö and one to eastern Gotland, where guests could familiarize themselves with more of the Gotlandic tradition, culture, and history. The gala dinner was then held at Wisby Strand as the sun slowly set into the sea. Here too, music and entertainment were in focus, with performances by Eric Gadd and Triple & Touch, among others, from the stage.

Full of memories and impressions, it was then time for guests to travel back to their hometowns on Sunday.
